    2014 GMC Sierra

Some of you may remember my earlier post about the issues I had trying to buy one of these trucks. Well, I finally found what I was looking for and ABSOLUTELY love it. I've never seen better gas mileage from a V8 (that hauls ~9,500) and it rides as well as my wife's CTS. I ended up going with the Bronze Alloy Metallic color that is new for this year. It really pops, it is kind of like the metal flake that you can get on the new boats. I got the Texas Edition with every option except for 4 wheel drive and Z71. They also offer new two-tone interiors for this year which are SWEET. I got the cocoa-dune interior and it has the same color leather as the king ranch F-150 but the seats are a sand color. The Texas Edition came with the upgraded Bose stereo and that thing bumps. The ONLY complaint I have is that it doesn't have push-button start. I was really looking forward to that but it wasn't an option.

I know a lot of you guys are anti-GM because they are government owned and all that but the way I see it, they still make great cars. So I don't care that they are government owned.

Sounds like a great truck, I've got a 2011 gmc SLE and am looking forward to my next one in a couple more years. Does it still have the 5.3 with 6 speed or has that changed?

How do the seats feel? I put about 50k a year on mine, so comfort is a big plus.

Congrats on the new truck, how about a pic?

The seats are crazy comfortable and the ride is fantastic.

Here are some pics. I will get some of it towing the boat as soon as I get a chance.

The intellilink system is great. So much more seamless than the bluetooth system in the earlier gen.

And as for the engine, it is still a 5.3 V8 but they said that it was redesigned for this year. I assume they just changed some stuff to make it quieter and get better fuel economy because I am getting ~19-20 miles to the gallon and even when your outside the truck you can barely hear it. Also, for this year you can opt for a 4.3 V6. The hardest thing about finding this truck was to find one that had the beefier 3:42 rear end without 4WD. The standard 3:08 only towed ~6,500 pounds but then the 3:42 bumped it to ~9,500.
