Pressure Washer - Battery? Water from Lake?

Looking for a pressure washer. I'll be pulling water from the lake so need a decent filter of some sort. I also wouldn't mind a cordless electric though I'm guessing for any kind of decent performance it will need to be gas. Any recommendations?

    Thanks,

can you do that? I would think the washer utilizes the positive pressure from the spigot instead of making it suck the water out of the lake.

I also don't power wash my boat, except the carpet. hand wash only, clockwise circles... ;D

I have used a ballast bag pump, to supply lake water to my gas pressure washer. Works good.

Karcher electric pressure washers will pull water from the lake. I have two of them. They work great...

Same here: I use a separate water pump I tie to the boat lift and drop under the boathouse. Make sure you don't get a very cheap one, otherwise you may not get enough throughput to feed the pressure washer properly.

Thanks for the input. I just ordered a Karcher. We'll see how it does.

I have a karcher as well and it does not need a filter unless you are really adamant about it having one. I used to connect to my RV gray water tank discharge and suck from there to wash motocross bikes etc and never had a problem with debris etc. The only issue I had with the Karcher was that the GFCI plug was a POS. I finally cut it off and ran a straight male 3 prong plug as everywhere I use the pressure washer is GFCI protected already.
