    Wakesurfing a Center Console

So . . . my dad is looking to get a new fishing boat in the 32' to 38' range and knows that we love surfing behind our 230. He asked me if there might be some center consoles to which we could to add some blast, adjust the trim tabs and surf behind it when we come visit. Has anyone done this with decent results? If so, what boat? How was it weighted, etc? Pics or videos would be awesome.

Something inboard (not i/o or outboard) so you don't lose a limb!

No, his main priority is something he can take fishing offshore. Think Marlago, Yellowfin, Contender, etc.

How far offshore and how quick he expects to get there will probably determine what boat suits his needs. An inboard will be slow so I hope he doesn't need to go far.

Offshore not gonna happen, I am usually never really a stickler on anything but anybody who surfs behind anything besides an inboard is STUPID. No other way to say it. Mastercraft makes some awesome center console inboards that throw a pretty good wake! If I lived near the inter-coastal I'd totally own one.
                99.5 SAN with some upgrades

Same hull as the x 25, I think, which imo makes a great surf wake, but does the csx come with factory ballast, piggy back, etc.?

Does MC still produce the center consoles? I don't see it on the website's 2014 offerings.

I know it is a distance, but I believe that there is one for sale at Action Water SPorts in Phoenix AZ (was there a few weeks ago when I was at the shop). You can call and ask questions regarding the boat since they are also a Mastercraft dealer.

No they don't...the venture capitalist firm that owns MC also owns Hydra Sport they are all built in the same factory

Thanks. Looks like it's the smaller one they have, not the 265
