Lets see. A Ford Excursion, and a mini like yacht wake boat. I'm thinking his gas bill is larger than the GNP of some small countries. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: Regards!! Mike2007 Ski Nautique 196 Limited/ PP/ Mods

RE: Excessive???
I was just on the MasterCraft website......The model above is the X-45....it's a mere 24'-2" long and holds 18 people.
Mastercraft also makes an X-80 version that is 28'-3" long and holds 15 folks (odd that it holds less than the X-45). The X-80 has dual engines. It was weird looking at dual props and rudders out the bottom. I can't tell if the dual engines are standard or not...
Both the X-45 and X-80 have 90 gallon gas tanks.
I happened to see a couple of these monsters this past weekend. They're huge.88 Ski Nautique

The twin engine on the x80 is an option.

RE: Excessive???
I have neve seen one of these on a triple axle. They are normally just a double axle; they do put the X-80 on a triple most of the time though. I think this was probably just the owner's request - probably just for the "cool" factor. I read the owner's post on Wakeworld or whever it was...over $85k he paid for that thing!!
Splash...The dual engines on the X-80 is an option. Most people who get the X-80, however, are getting it with the duals. (2 350s - 350hp each). Standard on the X-80 is 1 496 - 425 hp. That big of a boat really needs the duals. It is VERY manuverable at slow speeds because of the two inboard engines. You can actually make the spin circles by putting one engine in forward and one in reverse. The biggest disadvantage - 2 engines...NO PERFECT PASS!! I guess someone buying a boat like that really isn't buying it to wakeboard anyway.
The X-80 is very BLING BLING...gotta admit that, but not what I would call a "watersports boat".
The X-45 on the other hand, is just an enlarged version of the X-Star. (only about 18 inches longer and a few inches wider). It is still a great wakeboard boat.
I believe the seating is more on the X-45 than the X-80 (especially with the dual engines) is because of weight. The X-80 with two engines is too much weight to be coast guard approved to 18 people.Current: 2017 G23

RE: Excessive???
Don't forget the port side head in the X-80, with a window! Very cool. I was attending an "on the water" boat show on Lake Lanier GA. and it came in very handy. Ya know "when ya gotta go, ya gotta go". It was kinda special too as a Nautique owner to releive myself on a MC,I guess.
