Has anyone tried any of the Wakeye products. This seems like exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a new 210 with the camera ready rotating tow point that has the standard Go Pro mount. I always heard that even with a Hero4 and the Narrow POV setting the rider is to far away. I was looking for a way to mount my Iphone to the GoPro mount. I use an iPhone 5s with a life proof case so the special life proof mount looks perfect. Unfortunately, $60 plus $20 international shipping seems like a lot of money to hold a camera. But I guess after dropping enough coin for a new boat, I'm being a bit cheap. Just would like to know if this is a good product. Probably not easy to return to New Zealand.

I've got a wakeye camera mount with the shock tube tripod mount. I use a phone/tripod mount from a selfie stick to install it on my Wakeye and it works pretty well.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower

I see the works with any phone model. Only issue is the holder is right over the power button. Suppose I could write an app for.the Windows phone platform but still seem like $260 for a mount is a bit excessive. $99 and I'd want the mount.

Hola again,
It is clear to me that Go pro is not the way to go for wakeboarding. (
can anybody recommend any other video camera that can properly capture wakeboarding from the G -series mount. That means enough zoom, enough image stability...
Better if it has bluetooth connection (+app) or remote control

There are several camcorders capable of capturing great wake video. The problem is weatherproofing (if desired) and remote control. Many now have wifi remote control/viewing. We use a weather proof Panasonic camera with video. It takes fair video (we use 720p at 60fps). But we selected this one because the iOS app that controls the camera is excellent with very little lag time. We use an iPad to monitor the camera and zoom, start, and stop recording. The main problem is that using the camera's wifi for the iOS connection greatly decreases battery time to about 1 hour. So we carry several spare batteries. Many camcorders and cameras have simple remote controls. The problem is they are often infrared/line of sight and you can not see what your filming in real time.
The video in my iPhone 6 is darn good and I am thinking of getting a lens adapter to give it enough zoom to use it mounted to a wake eye like device. Still can not beat a human however for taking the video. All the tracking devices have limitations.
The GoPro works well for wake boarding if you rig about a 6' PVC pole at the end of the rope, attached to the handle. Mount the GoPro to this and you get a great perspective. But the handle being attached to 6' of PVC makes riding a bit different.

Honestly, I don't know. I know on their site, their giveaways are for the 3+black. I can't find one thing that says whether they are going to discontinue it or not. I think that would be dumb, to be blunt.
I don't know where you are, or if you have a SAM's membership but I was there last week and they do have them.
