    Midwest weather

Couple of days ago, 60F. Got up to the shop, measured the seats, started to get the LED locations mapped out, started making a new amp cover, getting ready for the spring and summer.

Tomorrow 9F. AWESOME! Love the Midwest! Kill the groundhog!

Yeah, it's brutal! It will probably snow again in April too.

I'm still planning to get on the water in March. The Fox will probably be the only un-frozen water. If you see some idiots skiing next month by the Broken Oar, it's us.

I'm curious - so I have to ask.

Those of you who live in mid-west or northeast - how can you justify buying a $50k - $75k ski boat that you only use for what 4-5 months out of the year?

In Houston, 8 months easy without a wetsuit.

          Just curious...

We typically don't have it that bad and ride from April - Oct, with an ocassional early Nov run. Some of the Wisco and Mn folks - not so sure either.

It's been pretty tough on me this year looking at the new boat photos posted up with green in the background.

we snowboard all winter, and get psyched for the spring. last year i got in 110 hrs, and by october your looking forward to snowboard again. not having seasons is weird. this year it has been very warm here, lots of 33F and raining which sucks, it might as well be 26 and snow, that would be much better.
              besides, its only money

We use two boats, and have in recent years put nearly 100 hours on both boats. So we get out quite a bit. We only missed 2 months last year. Drysuits, heaters, and cajones are required to get 8-10 months of skiing here. A guy we ski with said a couple years ago "the drysuits and cold weather gear are expensive, but when you think about how much money we put into the sport, there's no reason to not ski into the fall and early spring."

Gee, we thought it was bad that it reached 29 last night, 45 degree high today, and is
                  raining. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: BKH

Heaters & Drysuits & a desperate mentality to make the season last longer. We typically ride March - Oct. As soon as the ice thaws, we're riding.

I live in MN. My first ski ride last spring was April 3 and my last ski ride was on November 11. My buddy, AirJeff, rode on November 23. 2 days later the lake was frozen over. Some say we're crazy, but we have to maximize our seasons.

We go 7 months in Wisconsin, no heaters no drysuits, most of the time not even wetsuits. Once I buy a slalom course though, definitely get a drysuit and will be going 9 months.
                          I don\'t care.

It snowed a bit on my drive home here in Sunny Northern California. Very unusual.
