-4 deg this AM in Northern Ill, craziest winter in a long time, one of the warmest January's I ever remember, the Lake is half open water, it is usually iced over until late March.
For me once the lake freezes instead of running the buoys we bring out the hockey nets. My neighbors and I are resurfacing the lake in about and hour, pumping +/- 33deg lake water onto the ice, man is that going to be cold!

I guess it's about the quality of the rides you do get, not the quantity that you need to get your money's worth! I only ski'd from May through mid Oct.. but I still put 112 hrs on my '211.

        I don't think I understand the question.

Who, or for that matter why, do I need to 'justify' my purchase of a nautique?

-14 degrees as a low for both Friday and Saturday here in Minneapolis! Some one asked me the other day why I live here...I couldn't come up with an answer. Oh, and in the summer we have mosquitos the size of pterodactyl's.

Hey, those mosquitos are how I get my protein in the summer. I just ski at dusk with my mouth open. Yummy.

-14 keeps the crime off the streets. Not much of a homeless problem when it gets that cold.
Short, cool water seasons is another reason to buy used boats from Minnesota. Engine life gets extended.

Went up to do some snowmobiling over the weekend. So cold on Sat morning that the low tire pressure warning light came on.
