Max Concurrent Users

Apparently we hit the max number of concurrent users on this site tonight. Looks like everyone has Spring on their mind now that it's officially March!

My previous statement was a little misleading...

What I meant was yesterday (and again this morning) we broke the record for most users ever online at the same time. I doubt we're coming even close to the maximum number of concurrent users allowed by the vBulletin software.

I saw that a week or so ago then notice it said the same the next day then the next. I don't think it is tracking appropriately or working as suggested

Oh yeah, that display isn't working correctly at all. It is a known issue, and I hope a software update will address that soon. It resets itself every few hours for some reason. Our true max connections at one time is in the 200-300 range.

Ah ok. Yeah yesterday I believe it was 89 then today it was at 83. No biggie! Thanks for the explanation!

Just some interesting trivia for you... Our max number of users online was generated the night of the G23 reveal in Orlando. Nautique attempted a live webcast of that event, but the company they used was unable to support the massive audience, and the webcast ended up failing miserably. I happened to be at that event, and I was posting pictures to this site as fast as I could, and it was the next best thing to a live webcast. Many people that tried to access the webcast were directed to that thread on this site from many other sites on the web, and that's why our traffic was so huge that night.
