    MBO?

Anyone else noticed MBO has been having a rough go of it the past couple of days? Apparently they have been having bandwidth issues. Especially as we near the end of the month they seem to have been down quite a bit in the past couple of days.

That’s one thing I worry about as this site continues to grow. Obviously we don’t have anything to worry about for quite some time as our meager 350+ users doesn’t even come close to their 3500+ users. I can’t even imagine what kind of bandwidth requirements it takes to keep that site going.

Hopefully they’ll get things going again soon! That’s a great site with a really close knit group of knowledgeable people. If that site goes away the boating community will lose a valuable asset…

Maybe some of them will "be forced" to join this site. I say "be forced" in parenthesis because they wont literally, but it may be their only solution to keep a ski boat community alive for them. If those malibu boat owners cant have their own site, I guess this one is as close as they will get...just a thought...

It is sad indeed. MBO is down now, so I joined over here! I'll never get any work done again...

        MBO

MBO is back up but I'm always looking for skier contacts. I regularly ski behind a SN so I hope you don't mind if I lurk in your site once in a while.

not at all, welcome...Its not like we don't have room for more people on this site compared to sites like MBO. Just curious, if you ski a nautique, what turned you on about that site oppose to this? I'm not criticizing or anything, but i thought most people would normally post on the website for their own company. I'm registered at MBO too.

            Rod S,
Where are you skiing at? And it isn't like some of us PlanetNautique people aren't over on MBO from time to time too.

We don’t discriminate. Glad to have you on the boards. I spend quite a bit of time at MBO. I think it’s a great site and have nothing but respect for Malibus.

I've been a member at MBO since it started plus I own a Response. There used to be another Nautique site back then that I posted to also. We rotate boats for slalom course skiing so I end up skiing behind and driving quite a few different boats.

                  I live in Lakewood, WA.

I joined it before I knew about a Nautique site. Just found useful info there. Looks like you are too far away for us to hook up and ski! I spend most of my time over here now.

The thing I like about MBO is that the "group buys" they get organized. I read a thread on MBO a month or 2 ago about MBO towels they were purchasing. I've had CC's and Bu's..(Wake VLX currently) and log on to both sites. They really seem to have it together on MBO..bandwith or not. Malibu is putting alot of boats on the water, at least in the Midwest anyway. I'm certain that has alot to do with the large number of registered MBO'ers. Both site are definetly an asset to the ski/wake/footing community.

Well, MBO is having bandwidth issues again. I have been a lurker on this site for a while. I have a new Bu on its way to me (should have early next week) but I frequent several of these types of sites. (MBO, Tigeowners.com, and this one(havent figured out what the MC site is, but then again I havent really looked to hard)) because of all of the great information that can be found on each. You have a good site going here.

Elentz5, Welcome to the site! I lurk around other sites too for the same reason. Congratulations on the new boat! Post some pics here, I'm sure we'd all like to see it!

The MC chat site thing is hard to find as well. Its a link, or a branch of the home page. I'm pretty sure it is the "owners" section under the Flash site. (haven't been on the html site) Again, congratulations on the new boat!

Right now, all I have is pictures of it being built and 1 picture of the factory lake test. I would feel kinda funny  posting pic's of a BU on a Nautique site. But I guess if you want to see them, I can post them later.

It now looks like it will actually be this weekend before I get it. No biggie though, just a few more nights of restlessness.
