User name change notification

I'm wondering if there is a mechanism in place to notify of a user name change. For example, if I were to change my user name from SGY to SteveY, could the moderators broadcast this new change on the forum. Just a thought given all the lame posts lately.

tis a good idea but i think the problem is the creating of a new name with possibly a different IP address as well.

If a user has us change their user name we post it in the "Off Topic" area just so users are aware of the change. Users are unable to change their own.
