Moving Boat and Trailer in / out of garage

I'm on vacation and have some time to make a list of things I want to accomplish when we get home. One of them is adjusting a tongue dolly I built that goes just behind the fold away hinge and underneath. I use the dolly to help move the boat around once it is in the garage and close to position (single axle trailer).

The problem I run into is garage door height and tower interference when attached to my Suburban. I usually have the wife help me push the boat out of the garage several feet and then hook up the Suburban. I have tried drop hitches and that is ok, but I have change hitches before or after towing on the road. A new garage door is a long term goal, but wondering if the hand held trailer dolly is a worthy investment. I'm still thinking someone is going to have to help push/pull the boat as I use the dolly.

I have used a similar dolly and unless you are on completely flat land they are not very much help in my opinion. How about using an adjustable height hitch like below? That way you could change the height without having to change out hitches. I can't tell if the below model can be adjusted with the trailer still attached or not. My brother has one you can adjust the height with a socket. Use an impact gun and you can raise/lower in a matter of seconds.

Thanks Shawn. Driveway is almost level...very slight grade down towards the street. I can slowly push it out of the garage, it is just a pain. I can also push it back in with the help of my wife. We backup and get the trailer wheels into the garage, lower the tower, disconnect from the hitch and then push. I have looked at those adjustable hitches, but not sure one would go low enough. Haven't found a place that would let me try one. I have measured and it is close.

On a side note; garage door opener broke today. Wish I could just change the frame to 8', put a new door and opener in and call it a day. Wife said no!
