    4th Of July idiots

Well I hesitated to post this today but it has to be done....
Whoever owns the masters blue G that was pulling a tube around by the 9 highway bridge at Eufaula needs some driving lessons. Soooooo I thought I would start with a few items

    1. Power turning a G boat (or for that matter any boat) in multiple circles non stop is extremely dangerous for other boaters including myself of which had a child in the water as your 5 foot rollers were rocking my boat non stop. Please learn some respect for others.
    2. When your pulling a tube please try and relocate your tube and boat to a larger body of water that's not smooth instead of making a smooth smaller body of water rough for everyone else.
    3. If someone else is towing a person please be respectful enough to not cut them off and do zig zag patterns and eventually losing one of your tubers and not noticing while they sit there among other drunk idiots driving boats . Its exremely dangerous what you did and frankly its a good thing my wife stopped me from introducing myself to you.

I hated to post this because its a Nautique owner but geez this was horrible.

It's amazing what some people do, they're just not thinking......Yesterday a boat pulling a tube with 2 young kids passed me on my port side while we were surfing, they then turned to the right to get into a cove. The tube crossed maybe 20-30 feet in front of my bow. The two women on the boat then gave me the one finger salute?!?! Umm, she passed by relatively close to me then cuts across In front of me while towing two young kids.....brilliant!!!

Saturday night on Lanier after the fireworks two massive cruisers passed a ski boat on each side at speed in the main exit channel. They swamped the boat so bad it sank putting 3 people in the water. Three people in the line of fire at night because two Aholes with more money than brains don't know how to drive or just don't care. I'm sure the ski boat never knew what hit them.

I'm with you lucky7t on your #2 !!!! At the lake I mostly go to there is a certain cove that most of the wakesurfers go to to surf. Without literally coordinating most of us kinda take turns going back and forth and for the most part stay out of each others way. But it never fails that some idiot will come in the cove pulling a **** tube or multiple tubes and zig zag around in the way of everyone else chopping up the water and making it hard to surf not to mention just getting to **** close. The kicker is the main part of the lake is a huge body of water with wide open space. I want to so badly go up to them and give them a *** chewing and take there kill switch leash and throw it as far as I can in the water. I just don't understand their thought process.

I wanted to say that but hesitated. I have nothing against G's I think they are an incredible boat but I also think they have made a few wealthy people buy wakeboats that have no idea how to use them.

LOL. I'm just kidding. There are people of all walks of life that buy high end toys. Some that appreciate and love them for their ability and some that have no clue what they are doing. This is probably true for million dollar yachts too.

I slalom ski mostly but wakeboard from time to time. Anytime I see someone in the water about to ski or suiting up about to ski I try to avoid stirring the water up and it would be nice if everyone else did the same. I know everyone has the same right to be on the lake but its just common courtesy. Last week I waited until the water cleared a the spot I normally ski at then I suited up and got in the water. As I sat with a tight line with the ski out of the water about to give the go ahead for my brother to pull, here comes two asshats on jet skis zig zagging right by us and continued down the channel that my boat was pointing in the direction of. I wanted to jerk their asses off of those things so bad lol. I dont have a short fuse but this will light my fuse everytime.

This one cracks me up.......time, time and time again I see these new fandangled surf machines sending out huge waves on the calmest, smoothest water on the lake. I've been surfing many times with Nautiquehunter and we always go to an area away from the main channel of the lake but not SKIER COVE. I slalom, his wife slaloms and we are constantly dismayed that some clown comes in and churns up the glass to surf? YOU DON'T NEED GLASS TO SURF!!!! Most of you here wakeboard, a few of you ski and yes there is nothing better than cutting on water smoother than a babies bottom. So could someone please explain to me the need to surf on glass?

Surfers are becoming no better than the tubers than are being "witched" about on the forums when your wakes are just as bad and worse than the tubers!! Now that being said...... Nautiquehunter and I have YET to see a Nautique tubing or surfing in a "skiers cove". I guess we as Correct Craft owners just get it and are more courteous than most of the others.

                    Rant over!
If you can't do it in, on, or behind a Nautique..... It just ain't worth doing!

First off who the **** said I was surfing ? I 100% agree you don't need glass to surf . I never implied anywhere that you need glass water to surf. That day I had a 10 yr old out of the boat on a wakeboard. We prefer something smoother than the ocean for wakeboarding .

You're right, you don't need "GLASS" to surf. BUT, you do need calm water to get a lot of good push and to be able to enjoy surfing especially if it's someone learning or a kid out on any board period!!!. Every time another boats' wake comes through your surf wake or there's choppy "windy" water (that day) it's a lot of work because it effects the push. BUT, I don't appreciate you classifying the "surfers" with the freakin idiot tubers!!! You surf at no more than 10-12 mph, try to stay in a pretty much straight line, and if you surf a lot and really enjoy it you try to stay away from everyone else as much as you can for the already stated fact regarding needing good push and you don't want to rock the other boats to death. The dumbass tubers will go as fast as they can just to try and throw the person(s) on the tube(s) and zig zag all over the dang place AND will even try to get as close as they can to you (while you're surfing) to use your wake to bounce the tube around. Then when the person(s) on the tube falls off right in front of you it kills your run because you have to stop so they can get back on the freakin tube just to get in the way again. Mostly what we're saying to clarify (before you chimed in) is the dipsh*ts pulling tubes can do all their stupid sh*t out in the wide open big parts of the lake and stay out of the da*n coves so the wakeboarders, wakesurfers, and skiers can enjoy themselves and makes it safer.

Actually what he was saying is surfing can be, and usually is, just as obnoxious as tubing. A continuous 3-4 foot wave is a nightmare in so many ways, kills my shoreline, crossing them at almost any speed in my boat can be a jawbreaker while knocking your nuts loose, wave will knock the average SUP rider right off, if your rafted off and kids are anywhere near the platform it can become violent from the rocking and very dangerous and if you don't assist/hold any adjacent boat damage is almost immanent. 1 surf boat will destroy all the skiable water anywhere around it for a significant distance in all directions (side and stern rollers). No offense but unless you are on a huge lake far from shore and others, your wakes will have a huge negative impact on everyone else out trying to enjoy the water as well.
Surfed enough times to know you do not need calm water to teach or learn, right in that curl the shape is very consistent regardless of conditions, calling BS on that!!
Tubing is obnoxious, brainless, dangerous and seems to be the favorite choice of all the lazy parents who are too selfish to spend the time to teach their kids to ski or board. Honestly feel similarly about surfing, it is minimally challenging and leaves a huge footprint physically and environmentally. Feel both tubing and surfing are giving all towed watersports a bad rep.
There is a good time and place for all of it and it would have far less impact on everyone, unfortunately 9 times out of 10 that is not what occurs.

So many things to say about this post.

How does it "kill your shoreline"? I'm really curious about that one. And it knocks a SUP rider off their board? Come on now. Seriously? Sorry the SUP guy doesn't want to get wet. I guess thats the chance you take riding a board in water.

Sounds like everyone just needs to get over it and accept that we all share the water. You're never going to eliminate all the activities you don't like so suck it up and be happy you can enjoy the water at all.
