    Can anyone help ????

We currently have a ski lake which we share with a Jet Ski operation. The jet skis have one third of this large lake and we have the other two thirds.

We have an obvious problem that when the jet skis get busy, it sends waves over the main area of the lake and makes it pretty rough at times.

In an effort to accomodate all, we have to find a solution as we have to have both disciplines on the lake - no choice.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to evaluate some form of barrier system that will prevent the backwash from the jet skis crossing into the waterski area. I have seen systems at OWC, but have only seen them at the sides of the water and not across the middle.

If we could find somekind of system it would be of great benefit to our club. We cannot build a permanent barrier/bund as the local authority will not permit this.

Any ideas guys ??? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks - sk8

I have a great idea and you won't need a barrier system. Ooops, that might not be a politically correct solution. Back about 20 years ago, my brother had a guy run over him. Luckily, he actually ducked and never got hurt (almost a miracle). I could tell you many more stories......which won't help you with your rough water situation.

How many big is this lake?
1976 Ski Nautique.....old but it\'s still going strong

300-400ft in length. I have seen some kinda rubber mesh/matting around but have no reports on it, and as I mentioned earlier I have only seen it around the outside of lakes to dissipate backwash/prevent erosion.

I guess they don't allow sinking the jet ski's.
