RE: Hydrofoilmaniac
Hehehe. I just happen to see this post.
I've always tried to stay out of the way when they're running the jump or course. In general, unless the wind is out of the North, the best water is at the South end by the jump or the East shoreline. I usually run the East shoreline (from the cemetery to the South end) and the ski team usually just uses the South end. I think it's rare that we get in each other's way and I try to respect what they're doing. The only time that I squeeze them (or they squeeze me) is when I foil on the West shoreline.
This year, for the first time in a long time, there's more than two ski boats on the lake (mine and Stout's 06 SN). There's also a Malibu and a Carlson (with a Monster Tower). I think both of those boats have MN tags. So, for the most part, competition for good water will evaporate in about 4 weeks.
Plus, by mid July.......you can walk across the lake due to the algae bloom problem.1976 Ski Nautique.....old but it\'s still going strong
