2008 Air Nautique 206-Weighting for Wakeboarding

Hello,

Purchased the 2008 Air Nautique 206 a few months back. It has a great ski wake and I am trying to make the wake decent for wakeboarding. Does anyone have experience with this boat on where to put the fat sacs? I have 2 400 pound bags. Last night I put them right in front of the rear seat and was not really impressed with the wake. Do you suggest getting a small bag and putting it in the trunk area and maybe moving the other 2 bags beside the motor cover?

hers what I would do using what you have and grabbing one addition.
Remove rear seat , Put 1100 back there and put the 1 400 in the bow as far forward as possible



route two which is really the optimal way.

Buy two 750's. Put one on each side of the Motor as far back as you can, then put one of the 400's in the bow as far forward as possible.

I'll give it a try. I felt like the lip of the wake was very soft and just rolled over. It was kind of flat and not rampy. Photos showed where I was cutting through the wake instead of being launched from it.

Do you know if the boat will handle the weight better once I put weight in the bow? It was very sluggish with most of the combined weight it the back.

Yes. Evening the weight out a bit will definitely give you more solid of wake with a bit harder lip.



The 206 wake will not have the steep hard wake like an older sport Nautique. It's hull just will not allow you to get there. Expect it to be way more rampy and mellow. But adding the bow weight will definitely firm up the lip and transition.

Swatguy, purchased a 750 for the rear and moved one of the 400's to the bow. Had about 635 pounds of people ballast in the rear as well. It was much better yesterday. Thanks for your help.
