    Kids wakeboard competitions

Are there any competitions out there for kids under 10? We would love to get our daughter signed up for an event and plan a vacation around it if possible but it's next to impossible to find anything.

Where are you located. Lallys board bash in Ohio is a great all day wakeboard competition all the way from beginner to Pro divisions. Great event for everyone.

We're in Texas but want to travel for the event and make an event out of it. Any idea when it is? Guess I could not be a lazy *** and google it.

Checkout INT. We've attended their tournaments and it's fun the kids. Definitely friendly to the very beginning riders.

I don't think I live in the hub of wakeboarding and have lots of options for small events. I bet you can find a few events once you find the first one.

So we ended up signing up for the Wake the Desert event in San Angelo which seems to be the longest running event in Texas. She competed yesterday and did awesome.

I can't express enough how cool of an experience this has been for our family, both us and the kids. The atmosphere and people type here are just our speed. This will for sure be an annual event for us and I would highly recommend anyone getting out to an event at some point.

That great news cedarcreek216, Our son has been Wakeboarding since he was 5 and for the first few years didn't really have any kids his age Wakeboarding. When he turned 7 we decided to join a local Wakeboard club mainly so he could find some kids his age that are also into this great pastime.

2 years on he now has a large group of friend both his age and older that we all go out and ride with.
The competition side of it is only one aspect the friend we have now gain through the community out ways any of the competition results.

This was more of what we were wanting to gain from the event perspective as well, the friendship and lifestyle aspect of wakeboarding. I have since found one in TN called wakefest that is a boat access only event which looks awesome so we are going to try it next year for sure.

Do they have a local Wakeboarding series? our local events run over 5 rounds and a State titles so that's 6 separate events in the year. This doesn't include any National events or separate social events. In the middle of our Summer we seam to be on the water every weekend. I'm certainly not complaining about that either.

There is nothing local, but when I told the owner of Buxton about the experience he acted very interested in possibly setting something up. We don't mind traveling for these one off events, makes for a nice family getaway.

You should make a trip out of the Wake the Desert weekend next year, it was a great event and accommodations were cheap and San Angelo has all the amenities a family needs.
