    Drew Ross DQ

    Any thoughts on this? Seems like a very harsh decision to DQ Ross for missing the "parade of champions". Although I understand its happened before.

    I'm on my fourth Nautique. So I would call myself a die hard CC guy. There are some die hard CC owners threatening to sell their CC boat because of this debacle. Check out the discussion on skifly?

    Just wow.

    Good reading. CC made a bone head move but the guy who claims to be selling his boat immediately is a straight up moron. Seemed like an honest mistake that got out of hand quickly with nobody questioning anything, shoot first ask questions later type deal.

    Anybody have the rules/regs?
    I don\'t care.

      I agree. Too bad Ross was DQed. Hurts everyone involved. I can appreciate the position in which Meloon found himself. If others had been DQed in the past, and he didn't DQ Ross, he would have been under a "favoritism" attack. The Masters should change that rule to give themselves more flexibility.

      No win situation for everyone.

        Rules are rules. follow them and you will have no problems. I have 450 employees that work for me. I have heard every excuse in the book. Its like the warning stickers on your boat. Keep your foot out of the prop area. What happens if you do not follow that warning? You would learn a big lesson. He has no one to blame but himself.

          True......but, let's face it... the people who really got robbed are the fans of the sport who came to see the best in the world compete on the water, not wave at them in some meaningless parade.

            The best in the world is CP, and he replaced Ross. Ask the fans who they would rather watch. The Tower is a fan fav.

              When I say "the best in the world" I'm refferring to the collective group of skier's who are invited to the Master's...... IMO, it's still rediculous to DQ the guy no matter who replaced him.

                  Lets see if I've got this concept down. Sell the Nautique, and replace it with an inferior boat.

                    I have to say that even if he got the info packet 6 months earlier and it did say that you MAY be DQ'd for missing the parrade and you miss the parrade, you WERE told the consequences. I am sorry he could not ski, but he was given the info he needed.

                    On the other hand, the more I learn about the Meloons, the less I want to buy another boat from them.

                      he had the info packet, he had the opportunity to read it over & see the rules, regulations & what can get you disqualified, this isn't 2nd grade where the people running it should have to go over everything over & over to the guys, these guys are professionals they should know the rules themselves. And about the guy talking about selling the boat,,, that would have to be the dumbest thing i have ever heard,,, u think anyone's gonna notice that that guy sold his boat & bought an MC, BU, etc? yeah nor do I...

                        If the wakeboarders could figure it out...It sucks and might be a lame rule, but you can't go changing it halfway through a tournament.
