Thanks Erik, I have been taking my meds lately.

Re: FatBoy's original post. (don't take this as me jumping on anything or anybody). The way you type it comes off as if you are in charge here or everybody should feel the way you do, which some or most people do but it is ultimately Jeff and Luke that control the tone of the site/board.
    I don\'t care.

My guess is that a majority, although certainly not all, feel the same way as Fatboy

Personally, just for the record, I agree with Fatboy and Mikeski and others.

I have also noticed what seems to be a change in the attitude of the forums lately as we’ve had several sensitive/hostile threads recently. Two of them especially bothered me. Ideally, our members will respect each other and keep it civil. The majority of our members are very respectful of each other, but occasionally things get out of hand.

Jeff and I try to stay pretty open when monitoring threads and let things run their course. It’s also difficult for us to keep tabs on all the posts, all the time. The more time we spend policing threads, the less time we have to spend improving the site.

Members shouldn’t have to worry about having someone jump on their case for making a post. If a user decides not to post because they are worried about being ridiculed then the purpose of these forums has failed. For every person who does speak up and post, there are countless others who choose to remain silent.

This site continues to grow and as with all sites, growth brings about growing pains. It’s nice to hear feedback from our members as ultimately this is YOUR site and YOUR forums. Jeff and I merely keep the wheels on. So let us know if you like the direction we’re heading or if we need to change our focus.

As always, feel free to drop us a line anytime.

I call it like I see it, plain and simple. Sometimes I do get carried away but whatever that's just me. I try to respect everyone no matter what though.

Erik, why do you assume onthewater and I are always tag-teaming everyone? He's the biggest idiot of them all!

Wakeboarder.com is generally full of a bunch of 15 yr. old morons that flood the place with crap ruining it for the many cool/smart guys on there.

Really, when you think about it, there are only a handfull of people who post consistantly on this site. ( Just look at the number of posts attatched to each member)

It seems like those who do frequent this forum enjoy there rolls as 'senior' members and can be pretty salty, helpful, or arrogant at times (really depends on the day)........ personally, I find it pretty entertaining to hear guys make fun of others for acting like they know it all, posting pictures of drunk girls licking each other in bikinis, mutli page threads of 'sweet tow rigs' with 20 inch 'dubs' pulling boats financed for 15years, talk about politics, oil and war, making fun of people from the south, vent about how religious beliefs will prevent future employment at CC, drop the Meloon name to sound cool, show there tattoos and gifted ability to guzzle cheap light beer, pretend to be an industry 'insider' by attaing press passes to public boating events, displaying avatars of stiff legged wake surfing techniques, lawyers who enjoy typing large meandering posts using entertaining metaphores and asimles and plastering gratuitous pics of a boat so stuffed with LED lights that it needs a special altenator (named after tired hip hop term for the mid '90's).....

........but who really cares????.....it's fun to read everyone's comments and have a chuckle or get fired up at the arrogant, spoiled, rich kid who claims his daddy's 50k boat is his..... in the end, we all just want to be on the water, stand on a board of sometype, grab a hold of a rope, smiling while our boat goes around in big circles.

I concur, without personality or attitude this board would be boring. Imagine if we all agreed on everything and kissed each others' arses so not to upset anyone, woof!
                      I don\'t care.

First off - great post by 82tique, accurate, true and very funny...lol

Second off, I reckon onthewater and hollywood are great for this site. I've never met them, but their posts cut straight to the point. When all the waffling goes on like it does sometimes, they just say it how it is and keep the point focused.

Also when people do spread BS on here, these guys almost say 'cut the crap - what's your point'.

That is healthy debate, funny and entertaining and often what others are thinking but don't have the balls to come out with.

When someone starts a BS post I sit here and can't wait for these guys to log on. Respect for people who say it how it is.

Last off, this site is the best reference point out there if you have a Nautique, simple as !

Its full of knowledgable people who don't mind taking a bit of time out of their day to help you. Everyone gets along most of the time and apart from the odd blowout were all just human.

Its good to have friends on here and helpful people who you've never met but their advice has made the difference between riding or not sometimes.

Lets stick together, continue to help eachother and have a chuckle along the way...

                        Peace - sk8

I think this thread should be the new forum guidlines... ;-)

82tique I can't decide if I resent or resemble your post. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: I second Luke thoughts it's OK to get down on other members as long as it is not malicious, and we don't keep some people from joining or asking questions that would help them enjoy their boat more. On the other hand. If you are starting to get mad reading a post...quit reading it...

Thanks for missing my Abu. I developed a serious medical problem in which my testorone / estrogen level is off. I was afraid to come back lest you guys & gals make fun of me & say deriding, nasting things; SUCH AS, Does that explain leaving the toilet seat down & reading Redbook?
