should have stayed behind a nautique

    [venting]

I went out skiing a couple of weeks back behind a 1990 supra. I didn't realize how spoiled I had gotten to my 1997 SN wakes. I was having all kinds of problems with my 28' off pass but just kept at it because it's a pass I almost always run first time through. I Should have stopped because I was probably tired and frustrated, but I didn't. I ended up taking a bad fall though the wakes and hurt my shoulder. Saw the doctor as soon as I could get an appointment, he couldn't decide if it was just a bruised tendon in my rotator cuff or a tear so I had to wait for an MRI. Anyway spent two weeks waiting to get the MRI and results; I just found out that I actually have a fracture in the shoulder. No skiing until it heals because the tendon could pull out a chunk of bone and become completly disconected. Only my secong skiing injury and the first one to keep me off the water for a while; man is it frustrating! Of course this is better than a tear in the tendon but I'm still pretty bumed that I'm losing so much of my summer.

Moral of the story... Stay behind a nautique! It's just safer that way :!:
In all honesty I'm not really blaming the boat, the fall was my fault, but I doubt it would have happened behind my SN :|

At least you can still get out on the boat. I would advise you to sit close to the cooler, you have no reason to wait til after your pull anymore

    Hope its quick..

Good lesson! I leaned the hard way also. Last summer at the lake, everyone was lining up for the nautique to pull 'em. I felt so sorry for my buddy sitting there in his jet boat that I agreed to take his offer for a ride. Of course he had to nail it right as I came out of the water and darn near torn my arms off! Never seen so many shades of purple! Long story short, one of biceps resides near my shoulder now. Still works pretty well, looks funny, the kids like it.
Moral- other brand boats are dangerous to your health!
      Good luck on your recovery!
