[venting]
I went out skiing a couple of weeks back behind a 1990 supra. I didn't realize how spoiled I had gotten to my 1997 SN wakes. I was having all kinds of problems with my 28' off pass but just kept at it because it's a pass I almost always run first time through. I Should have stopped because I was probably tired and frustrated, but I didn't. I ended up taking a bad fall though the wakes and hurt my shoulder. Saw the doctor as soon as I could get an appointment, he couldn't decide if it was just a bruised tendon in my rotator cuff or a tear so I had to wait for an MRI. Anyway spent two weeks waiting to get the MRI and results; I just found out that I actually have a fracture in the shoulder. No skiing until it heals because the tendon could pull out a chunk of bone and become completly disconected. Only my secong skiing injury and the first one to keep me off the water for a while; man is it frustrating! Of course this is better than a tear in the tendon but I'm still pretty bumed that I'm losing so much of my summer.
Moral of the story... Stay behind a nautique! It's just safer that way :!:
In all honesty I'm not really blaming the boat, the fall was my fault, but I doubt it would have happened behind my SN :|
