    Wakeboarding help in Cleveland Oh

I now have the 2002 SANTE in Chagrin Falls Oh and have been out on local lakes 8 times this season - mostly on West Branch lakenear Ravenna.

I am looking for help to get instruction on the basic wakeboard tricks for myself and my 2 teenagers kids.

I offer endless time behind the most beautiful boat on the lake, and want to be doing Scarecrows/front flips before the end of the season.

Scarecrows and front flips are not exactly basic tricks are they? I think you're looking for advanced instruction...

I bought a wakeboarding cd vol 1&2 from skiers wharf extreme 2 in kanas city ms. It is made by shawn murray and has beginner to super advanced 105 plus tricks. It was a great help to me. It has everything from deep water starts to the most tech tricks in the sport today. It is called detention vol 1 &2. Hope this helps.

Scarecrows and Front's aren't exactly basic tricks.

As mentioned above, checkout Detention Vol 1 & 2 by Shaun Murray.
Also check out "The Book" instructional DVDs.

And if you are looking for someone in your area to teach you personally, check out www.WakeWorld.com.

peter-im in chippewa lake.............myself and fellow friends are intermed. wakeboarders+ barefooters..front flips and scarecrows are not going to happen unless you pick things up fast, very very fast and have some balls! seriously, it took my buddies about 2 summers to even attempt a front flip with any hopes on landing it....i would recommend the very basics, learning how to ride switch surface spins ollies w2w etc..............waketrix is also a good instr. dvd....i own it myself, and it has helped with different aspects of riding....with that being said i could give you a few pointers. possible.........its just hard finding time, id have you come to my lake but its private..

Peterdev - Mid Ohio Watersports will be having a wakeboard clininc on July 26th with Gerry Nunn. The location is going to be in Loudonville at Pleasant Hill Lake. Gerry is a pro rider that grew up on this lake. You can call our Streetsboro location at 330-626-9115 for more details. If you have never been to a clinic like this we are sure you will enjoy the day. Eric

              Peter,

I highly recommend you follow up with Eric at Mid Ohio. When I purchased my '02 SAN my kids and I went to a clinic that Eric's shop sponsored that included JD Webb. JD taught us the basics on getting up and moving around on the water and we were just beginners!

The biggest benefit that I received was a connection into the local wakeboard people through Eric's team. I'm sure the guys from Mid Ohio & Gerry will treat you well.

I also recommend the Waketrix DVD that Ryan mentions. The lessons on the DVD start at the beginning and go all the way up to advanced. The instructions follow a logical progression that you use to build up to advance tricks. I have been using the DVD this summer to work on my switch riding and have improved immensely.

              Good Luck!

Socbum, Thanks for the kind words. I have great people that work at Mid Ohio Watersports or are great friends that help out to make these events fun.

I also failed to mention that Gerry Nunn will be in Columbus at the Griggs on July 25th for a wakeboard clinic. This will be a one day event so it will fill up fast. Call the store and ask for Kyle if you and your family are interested.

                Eric

                  Eric,

Cool -- Sounds like a plan! I will give Kyle a call.

BTW Your team has earned the respect. Always top notch.

Who will be on the water (besides Gerry) for the July 25th event? Will Jesse be around?
