cable parks question

i am going in a few months out to south carolina and have an opportunity to hit the trophy lakes cable parks. what is it like at trophy in comparison to the cables that go around in a rectangle like orlando watersports? looks like you go back and forth at trophy but only one person at a time.

i had a hard time learning to deal with the corners at the orlando cable park.... at trophy is the pull/turn back more gentle? how is it waiting and taking turns at trophy?

if you fall at trophy how do you get back on? the cable keeps going so your turn over at that point? Or does the handle wait for you to get back up?

I haven't been to Trophy Lakes, but looks to be a 2 tower setup meaning the cable goes in 2 directions (down/back). If you fall the operator will bring the handle back to you and pull you up from deep water start. At least that's how it is done at my cable park. The turns take a bit of getting used too, but essentially you will cut out near the end of the cable run, once the cable carrier hits the end of it's run your momentum will continue to carry you while turning around, then the cable pulls back in the opposite direction to continue your ride. That's probably a horrible explanation but watch a couple videos and it will make sense.

The bad of that style cable is only 1 rider at a time... Lines can get long and usually operators will give time limits for riders depending on how many are waiting.

Take a look at shark wake park as well in north Myrtle beach. It’s not terribly far from Charleston.

Shark is fun. I've been there several times. They're closed right now due to an alligator problem, but they'll be open again soon.
