There we are sitting in the boat after an evening full of ski runs. Towels around our waist, Beer in hand and sweatshirts on. Yeah it's starting to get chilly at night here. The realization of the cold winter ahead, the everyday battle to look at the Ski Nautique in the garage all buttoned up, like a kid going sledding. Silence came over us all, we all seem to feel the same way. As Shidedown's remake of Simple Man filled the background, I couldn't help but think how relaxed I was, not a care in the world, everything just faded away. There we were three guys doing what we loved. Time just stood still.

Just made me wonder as I relfect back, does anyone else have these moments? Stand stills of time.

to answer your question, several times per week, yes. I marvel at how great it is to be out there. Truly not a care in the world.

The water is going to really hard and thick here in just a few short months. Been thinking the exact same things lately. Here it comes again......

I have those same thoughts b/c I work 6 days a week and my only day of pleasure and excitement is Sundays. So when the knuckleheads depart for home Sunday afternoons, I enjoy just sittin' around with some good tunes. Fortunatly for us here in NC we'll be able to enjoy that feeling all the way through the end of October and into November...sorry it's getting colder

Jeff’s shot is pretty good with the boat on the lift, but does anyone have a shot like these with a good silhouette of a Nautique in the foreground?
