    Stolen Gear

    Hi all,

Had a disappointing start of the weekend Saturday, got to the boat and pulled off the cover to see that someone had taken my wakeboard, surf board, and a pair of skis out of the boat. The boat is stored on a lift out the back of the lake house and the equipment had been stored inside of the boat. I know, everyone will say we should not have left it there, but the house is under construction and there was no place to keep the equipment. It will not happen again. What is interesting is that we do some special things to the cover that most do not do, the cover was put back on exactly the way it should have been and they only took those things. We filed a police report and I will keep an eye out for it on the lake but I am not hopeful.

So, if anyone is here from the Lake Geneva/Southern WI/Northern IL area could keep an eye out for someone sporting a new hyperlite board that is black with white logos and white and blue bindings; a surf board that has a grey top with a blue and white bottom, and a pair of Obrian skis that have really wide tops and are white with red and blue logos on them, it would be appreciated. I am guessing it was people that will be using the stuff on other lakes and while the descriptions are not great hopefully you would notice a combination of new stuff.

It is really dissappointing that in such a nice area there are thieves. Motion detector lights and cameras are going to be put up in the dock area now. I hate it when I lose faith in mankind, people are mean.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

If you could find pics of the actual models that would be helpful. I'll keep an eye out for you. We learned our lesson the hard way too and carry most of our gear with us back and forth, except for skylon and boom.

Thanks for the reply, sorry to hear about your things as well.

Here are some pics, it is a Liquid Force 5' 6" almost exaclty like this:

      http://www.wakeworld.com/surf/getboa...ProductID=3181

The wakeboard is a 2004 Hyperlite Motive 144 like this:

I cannot find pictures of the skies but they where shaped and could hav been Connelly. Since I never used them I never paid attention.

      Hopefully this helps.

        Kevin,

That is a drag about your gear, I just went down that same road again last month when someone snatched my Air Chair while we were at Green Lake.

Good Luck and I hope your stuff turns up.

Man, that really stinks... That is odd how they'd put the cover and eveyrhting back just right. Usually people rip stuff up and take off... at least your boat wasn't damaged.

          Good luck with everything.
