5 dead on Lake Texoma during the annual poker run.

    Here is the article.
This article doesn't contain the latest info...
Apparently both boats were doing over 100mph, racing. And people say wakesurfing is dangerous? hehe.

Holy Cripes! I used to go up to Lake Texoma a few years back. We were in the Marina (Highport, I believe) when all of the sudden you hear aircraft engines. One look over revealed the source: a boat named "Flash Gordon" with two jet engine nozzles sticking up from the back. The next day I was beached at the island that everybody parties at, and "Flash Gordon" anchors just off my stern. The owner, apparently a metalurgist was super cool and loved to talk about his creation. Apparently it had tow Huey helicopter engines running the beast.

I appreciate all boats and am fanatical about wakeboats. No boat (not including yachts) that I have ever seen was a panty dropper to the degree that this thing was...

Wow, I didn't realize that was one of the boats involved. Sad, so sad. Have they released what led to the accident?...It says the other driver lived.
