What is up with Wakespecialty.com???

Does anyone know where Kris lives? I thought a "next step" in these kinds of cases was to contact the local police department and enter a complaint. I personally did not have an order with him so just making a suggestion.

For those of you who are not aware of it, when you register a domain name, you are required to list a name, email, contact info, etc. Not that this info can't be easily fake, but many people do use correct info.

This info can easily be found by doing a "Who Is" lookup.

You can add me to the list. My wife ordered some guide pads and we have not heard a thing from them. That really sucks. Hopefully, paypal will come through. Anyone else have any luck getting a response.

I never did receive my order from Kris so I also filed a complaint with PayPal. PayPal found in my favor but said since there was no money in his account they could not recover my money. A few days later PayPal sent me a link to fill out a survey on their process, I indicated in the comments section that since they know a number of folks have have not received the items they ordered they should at least lock his account so that others don't get ripped off. Years ago I had a similar problem with a vendor, PayPal locked his account and would not unlock it until I verified the problem was corrected, that vendor got me the item and was begging me to get his account unlocked so that he could do business.

Wakespecialty ripped me off too!!

I ordered a set of Nautique trailer guide posts from Wakespecialty, and they never sent them. I went back and forth e-mailing the owner, and they responded with many excuses. They told me several times that they had my items packaged and ready to send. The owner finally told me that they were having problems with the suppliers, and that they were a;lso having issues with their business. They kept lying and lying. Now it is too late to file a complaint with Pay Pal. I am very disgusted with Wakespecialty. :x

FYI - There is a Wake Specialty sighting at WakeWorld. Someone claiming he will make things right. Maybe some hope for those who never received delivery.

Kris took money from people and never delivered their products. Period.

I read the thread at WW, and I can't imagine that anyone in their right mind would want to "turn the company around" and "make things right". Wake Specialty is dead. If this new guy is for real, why doesn't he start a new company instead of trying to rebuild one with a very tarnished reputation? Wake Specialty will never get any business from me.

File a complaint with the District Attorney in the area that they are doing business. Helps if two or more people who have been burned can work together. I and several others had a bad experience with a water ski manufacturer in Colorado and used this to get results when nothing else did.

First, file an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the State. The BBB then typically sends the complaint to the Company and asks them to respond. After a period of time you will receive notification that the company did not respond to your complaint. BBB has no teeth so that is all that they can do. What you do get is a case number and a file.

Forward your case number, file information, and a nice complaint letter to the District Attorney in the County in which the company is doing business. Copy the State Attorney Generals office in the letter. Tell them you consider this internet fraud and this is where it helps if more than one person is involved.


Within 48 hours of sending the email to the DA I received an acknowledgement and the promise of an investigation. It took some time but ultimately the pressure they applied to the vendor got results.
