    Coming to America...

    Hey Guys,

Myself & my business partner Andre are coming over to the US of A in November for the CC dealer meeting & want some ideas on what we can do & where we can go...

It doesn't have to have anything to do with wakeboarding, but we are looking for somewhere fun... It would be good though to check out some of the US mecas for wakeboarding though...

We do plan to get to the OWC (not sure how far it is from CC HQ), as well as a theme park or two & the NASA centre... Is Miami far? to far to drive?

We are 26 and I am travelling without the Mrs & Dre is single so we don't have anyone else to worry about except us...

    Any suggestions would be awesome...

    Cheers

    Steve

Depending on how long you are in the country, I would say that Miami would ba a bit of a stretch. heck, the theme parks can eat a number of days by them selves. I could be wrong, but I think Miami is about a 6-7 hour drive from Orlando.

Personally, I would just stick to the Orlando and surrounding areas. There is plenty to see and do.

OWC is really close to CC. Orlando has so much to do. Miami is about a 3 hour drive for CC

        Hi Steve,

If you’re planning on hitting a theme park or two, may I suggest you make a point to check out Universal’s Islands of Adventure?

My wife and I were down in Florida about 6 years ago right around the time they opened the park. We did all four Disney Parks and the two Universal Parks and, of all the parks we visited, this was by far the best. There are several ‘Islands’ surrounding a central lagoon. Each Island has a different theme.

This is from their web site… ‘On five amazing islands — Marvel Super Hero Island®, The Lost Continent®, Jurassic Park® , Seuss Landing™, and Toon Lagoon® — you’ll discover fantastic new worlds with something for everyone in the family.’

I was never a big roller coaster fan, but I rode the Hulk coaster and the Dueling Dragons and LOVED them! The Spider-Man ride is a 3-D motion odyssey ride that has to be seen to be believed.

We’ve been to Florida twice and haven’t been to Sea World yet. I understand they’ve improved that park quite a bit. I’m also told they use CC boats to tow the ski shows… That might be worth checking out.

Also, if you’re interested, you might think about visiting the Kennedy Space Center. It is a couple of hours east of Orlando.

Hope you have a safe trip!

        Best Wishes,
        Kyle

It depends of your likings. I'm from Europe but my family owned a house in Florida so I used to go 3 or 4 times every year.
I enjoyed very much The Kennedy Space Center as someone said.
I'm not a fan of the Theme Parks so I'm not going to recomend you any of them.

The night of Miami Beach was very funny years ago and I loved to visit the Everglades but maybe a little far of Orlando.

            Thanks heaps guys...

We are thinking doing 2-3 days on theme parks including OWC... some of the kids we sponsor are in Orlando at the moment for the worlds & don't shut up about the OWC.. Our itinerary is fairly open & flexable at this stage so we see how things go in Orlando

The Kennedy space centre is also pretty much a definate.

Not scared of a little travel & we have heard good things about the party scene down in Miami, so that may get a few days as well...

Other than that, we were also thinking Las Vegas as I haven't been since I was a kid & am pretty sure it is very different as an adult... Flying in and out of LA so I am sure there will be some stuff to do around there too

I also wanted to get back out to Tahoe for some skiing but am worried it might be a bit early in the season for it.

            Thanks heaps

            Steve

              Hey Guys,

My eldest daughter Angela (24 - a bit young for you Dre, and she's a Intern Youth Pastor as well) will be in Florida for a couple of weeks in November, so we should try to get her to meet up with you guys someplace. I know you met some of my family at the Sydney Show, but I don't know that you met Angela.....

I think that she has a few friends in Orlando that she knows from her times as a leader on Camp America summer camps in the US, so she may be able to hook you guys up with some locals who really know the place well.

She can be the official CCM Marine rep at the dealer conference maybe ????
