I'd Agree, i'm all about CC, but as long as it's some sort of Inobard, it gets my nod. (for whatever that's worth) Sorry if i came across badly in previous posts.
I am a long time reader of this forum, but I just read the cheapest of cheap shots from Eric. So I felt the need to comment for the first time. I have had my boat serviced at both Mid Ohio and Vandevere. I took my boat to Vandevere this summer due to it's closer location to my home. I have had NO issues with them. In fact, they took me in right away. I dropped it off, went to lunch with my wife, and when I returned, it was done and done correctly. I didn't have to wait the usual 2 weeks like I'm used to at Mid Ohio. Chris has always done a good job at taking care of me, but Akron is closer. I find it funny that Eric would slam his former competition's service dept. When I heard of Mid Ohio's closing, my wife called and talked to YOUR receptionist (Kim??) at Streetsboro and she told my wife that one of the reasons you were closing is the recent loss of service work. Pretty ironic, isn't it?
OSU_FAN Give Chris a call and let him give you all the facts. Then maybe you will be man enough to edit your post. It will blow you away. Was just stating some facts and giving my opinion on service like many others do on here. I was just sticking up for the original post and why it was on here. Also it wasnt due to loss of service work but that the amount of service work was down and that Chris was doing the service work now and could get it done much qicker and better than our last guy. I have talked with serveral dealers in the area and they said there service was down also. I will leave it with that. I will also PM you me phone number. Eric Rankine
Funny. When I'm not in my CC, I'm in a MC that is regularly maintained by MOWS - and you know what, it's not perfect, but that doesn't mean I bash MOWS.
Why slam one of your former employees that you hired, who now works on some of the boats we drive, that you may have sold to us?
It just comes off as sour grapes.
You got the CC label pulled from your store, now you're out of business, and you insinuiate your former maintenance guy is the reason for your troubles.
ScarletArrow, You need to reread my posts. I dont blame anyone for my troubles. I am a business man and assume full responsibilty for the success or failures of my business.
It is not sour grapes because I have no interest in the boat business and now that I am not in the business I can let the facts be heard. Deal with it.
If you also would like the facts I would suggest that you give Chris a call. I agree that no one is perfect.
Time will tell how this all works out. Eric Rankine
I think Eric is being as direct as possible and in fact inviting you to even talk about it one on one off-line. Eric is upstanding and there is obviously something that he feels strongly about here. The issues with the public stone throwing have been noted and I agree that it didn't come off well. However, I love when people speak plainly and I think that is what Eric was trying to do without outright slandering someone. He's offered, get the skinny from him. Talk to the other guy too. Make up your own mind but let's not belabor the point.
BTW, I think Eric's already proven his business savvy and the boat thing was more of a hobby.

Well put, Hack. Eric has been a friend of mine for many years. He wouldn't be posting anything on this board that isn't true.
I have personally known Chris for years and met James in 04 when I bought my 04 206 from him.I trust both of them and know I'm not being bull****ted too like I have been from other dealers. On a sunday afternoon on James time off, I was having a prpblem with my boat and I was able too call him on his personal cell because he gave it out on his voice mail at mid ohio and was able too solve it while my boat was in the water. I wish them and Eric the best of Luck!!

James is a good guy. He helped me out many times also when he didn't have to. He could have said "Bring it into the shop and we'll take a look at it."
