My order for marine carpet adhesive arrived. The delivery driver left it at the end of my walk and boogied off. Hmmm. The box was soggy. Thankfully I opened it outside There was maybe a 1/2 inch of adhesive left in the pail. The pail was loosely packed along with some wrapping paper and the lid was not secured with tape or anything else.

The best part was calling Overtons customer service. Even after sending these photos they wanted me to return the mess to them for a refund. Say what? The rep was nice and finally agreed that I would get a credit. But they only refunded the purchase price and kept the postage. I guess I paid $20 for the privilege of getting this mess? Really? I do have another e-mail in to Overtons and maybe they will step up. It is funny! Adhesive everywhere (I wore gauntlet gloves)! Spread out the contents to dry over the next couple of days so I can legally dispose of it all in CA. Still makes me laugh even as I drag it all out in the sun again each morning. Hope it amuses my fellow CC owners.

What was the worst shipment you've received?

Overton's went to sheesh when Camping World (Marcus) took the reins in '17. My experiences have not been good there since that point, including an item I ordered this March that I just got notification (1st and only notice) that they won't be shipping. Guess I don't need it now, apparently.
They were the dream goto prior to that. Everyone would load up on their Spring Sale boating goodies in anticipation of the boxes labeled Overton's hitting the front door step.

Bummer about the adhesive nobrainsd, could of happened coming from any place I suppose. But it's the quality of the fight on the phone when it does.
I would pay 10% more just not to get it from Overton's.

    Done with the rant.

I’m sure the delivery driver was happy to drop that off and get out of there before being noticed!
Undoubtedly, wanted nothing to do with that mess!

That's how every a$$hole on Ebay ships items to me. I rarely purchase on Ebay, but when I do, I state newspaper and cardboard scraps are not packing material to the seller in a message before I bid or purchase. I make sure the item is packed securely and let them know if it shows up here without proper packing materials it is going to Ebay customer service. When I sell, I pack extremely well and take pics of the item and packing.

Wait, cardboard scrap & newspaper aren't packing material? HaHa, I like it.
I will give one to Ebay's customer service, they are extremely on top of it, and a mention of reaching out to them to a Seller is a real threat. They have stepped in on a head butt with a Seller for me before, without even having to contact them. That's some good PR.

Overtons finally decided to refund my postage. Seems reasonable...
Still working on drying out the mess. It is supposed to be overcast and cool today, alas. I will be stoked to see it all go out in the trash!
Just a few more small tasks to finish up and we will be back out on the water. Winter is the best time of year here as most of the boaters and jetskis go away. Water stays around 65 and the air temps stay mild (maybe a bit of frost for the morning run). Draining the boat is the one thing I don't have to do, but salt water keeps me busy. I better not forget to replace the anode in my closed cooling heat exchanger!
