Sometimes I work on things other than boats.
When I was 15, my mom bought me my first car. It was a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle convertible, and I loved it.
I still do.
Here we are over 30 years later, and I still have it tucked away in my garage.
Fall will be here soon, so I want to get it ready for the cooler days, when I can actually drive it without dying of heat exhaustion.
Today I replaced the fuel pump with the proper original Pierburg unit. The one on it was the wrong one, and was over-pressurizing the system, causing fuel to get into the oil.
I'll change the oil tonight, and be all set for the fall drives. May even take it out for a test ride tonight.
