Saw this on the other boat forum. Pretty crazy. They were buying up everything in site a few years back and are the biggest game in town with 2 large locations in Michigan that I'm aware of. I heard rumors at the boat show last month that they had tons of inventory going back to 2023.....

Interesting, flooring 77 units between 4 locations, that's a few boats, and a whole lot of overhead to cover each month. Sounds like the bank isn't getting their cut. A bunch of that nut are '23 models, that can't be healthy. I smell fire sell, the good & bad, my wife won't let me touch a Malibu, lol.

When you sell a boat the bank gets their floor plan line paid back. When the money is used for something else and the bank finds out by checking inventory at the dealership, it indicates a cash flow issue or some other financial problem. I always really liked Tommy prior to him leaving South Florida many years ago. I hope all is well and that something has not gone awry.

Dang Son, that is quite the layout. Can you say "overhead" in a soft market, and that is just one of their several locations. Sometimes the ride on the Bull doesn't make it the full 8 seconds...

The Malibu dealer here in DFW changed to Tommy's about 2 years ago IIRC, I wonder how this will affect them.
