One of the more bizare boat builder stories I have come across...

So I come across this ski boat listing on our local Offer Up.

Boat looks pretty...a "Tiger Trax" ski boat? Wha? Never heard of it. Pretty much thought I had seen them all.....sooooo

    https://offerup.com/item/detail/272c...0-12bb3a58d01b

Decided to do a little googling to see what's the story and run across this.

    https://www.heraldnet.com/news/count...fatal-sinking/

    ..and this

    https://www.heraldnet.com/news/covin...thorities-say/

    and this

    https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/...sing-boat.html

Whoa! OK, not buying that boat. But...it's still pretty! What an odd story.

Anyone ever seen one of these in the wild?

They're not still in Business, right?

"The Snohomish County sheriff’s detective who investigated the Lake Stevens capsizing believes that Warnock showed criminal negligence when he built and sold a dangerous boat. That’s why investigators asked prosecutors to consider filing a second-degree manslaughter charge."

Pretty crazy for sure, good find SilentSeven.

Edit: Looks like this all goes back quite a ways. Early 2000's with a downhill history beginning in '81...

They have to be out of business now, right?

Until that offer up post, I haven't ever seen or heard of one of these boats. And if I recall from one of the articles, the main bad guy was like 77 years old in like 2013 or something.

Be fun to try to ID the different boat styles they made. The model observed so far looks like a 3 event ski boat that appears to me to be a copy of a similar era Malibu. I wonder if they also tried to make a wakeboard boat?
