    Draining Lake Cumberland

For those of you planning on an annual trip to Lake CUmberland, you might want to check this out....

"To relieve pressure on the Wolf Creek Dam in Russell County, the level of Lake Cumberland will be drastically lower than usual. The lake will be lowered to 680 feet. Normal pool level in the winter is 690 feet and 723 feet in the summer and some of the boat docks will likely be on dry land after the lake is lowered."

Check out the videos in this link.

    http://www.wbko.com/home/headlines/5296146.html

The lake may have to remain lowered for approximately (7) years according to the videos.

I'll bet the docks over at Dale Hollow and Norris are already counting their money.

I live about an hour away from the lake and they stated that 90% of ramps would be unaccessable for the next 2 years. Docks like Beavercreek could possibly be one lane boat traffic!!! I am sure once you get on the lake there are still many other lake. The biggest bummer will probably be that 76 fall may be unaccessible!
