    MS grip

    Hi Mark!!

I read at Nicholls you changed your grip. I'm RFF like you and I ski with my right hand palm up and left hand palm down. I've been thinking for years to change it as you did but I'm too lazy and never decide to do it.
    What's your advice?
Did you almost have to learn to ski again?
    Thank you very much.

    RE: MS grip

Nice shot of the Radar. Thomas was in the boat on my first set of the weekend and noticed it the minute I was done with first pass. He told me at that time to try it after I was done testing at the end of the set. I was all messed up and couuld not run 28. I said no way.
Then I went over to the other lake and another MM skier told me right after my opener to switch grips when I get home. Here is what I did. Grab a handle or wood dowel and carry it around for a day. Always going from left hand to right hand, over and over. Then get in the water and try it. The first few passes will be real tough but the rythem will now be there from practicing it. I made the switch and within 3 sets I was skiing down to my average. 2 weeks later my ball count started to go up. Every now and then if you are not thinking, you might find yourself with the wrong grip when you pull out but that goes away. Make the switch, its worth it.

      Thank you very much Mark.
Then, I'm going for it. I guess the best moment to do it is now, starting the new season. In two weeks I'm going to the Dominican Republic where an italian has dug a three event lake.
I've started whith your tip, I guess my associates here in my job think I'm completely mad..

Sounds like a tough life. That would be a great conection to have.
Just keep switching hands and practicing reach at the same time. Trust me, 3-6 sets and you will feel confidant that you can make it a success. Let me know how it works out.

That place looks sweet. And 2 196s makes it a must stop. Have fun.

              Hi Mark
Now I can say, as you told me, the change of grip is a success. I went to the Dominican Republic and the first pass with the new grip was quite good. I mean 3 or 4 months without skiing, new grip, jet lag... but it was not bad. The lake and the place is awesome as you can see. Very nice beach for the wife and for me to rest after the skiing...
              Two Nautiques...
But as the week was going one my ski was worst and worst. My last pass of the week was worst than the first one...
But after one month of skiing, here at home, now I can say my skiing has improved with the change of grip. I don't know why but I'm turning much better now.
