umm, i've seen far more "inappropriate" threads in the OFF TOPIC section. from his point of view, buxton lied to him! i personally don't want to do business with a dealership that lies to its employees (can't imagine what they'd do to the customers) now, i'm sure buxton would tell a different story, and i could really care less as to who's right, but inappropriate? come on.......

Yes! Andrew is on the nose. If this is "totally inappropriate," what the **** are we allowed to say? Are we really only censored to the positive aspects of CC and its dealers? give me a break, this is the real world where real s**t happens and we should be allowed to share both our good and bad experiences with CC and its dealers... The only way to truely be the "best" Nautique site out there is to be totally open and honest... I see no harsh language or inappropriate discussion so far...I Nautique, therefore I am.

jeez... you never will get the big picture, won't you?
NOW its getting off topic, but everything up until these last couple posts (which is what i was referring to in the second quote hollywood--should have been obvious--do they not use the big-bad-almighty S-word in the mid-west?) were completely appropriate and relative to the company and the way it does business. Dealers are more than things that just sell boats, and if theres any one company that cares about its employess, its CC, just look at how it treated them during the transition process, as well as the pre-katrina hurricane season when they gave them extra benefits and stuff like that. Everything up until these last couple posts has been approiate, clean, and honest--nothing wrong with that... we're still allowed to disagree/question in this country and on this site, right? well, maybe not the first one... :rolleyes:I Nautique, therefore I am.

Second, I don't have a problem with this discussion as long as it doesn't get hatefull and so far all he has done was vent his disapointment for loosing his job, but he hasn't really attacked Buxton.
Third, I am not a fan of Buxton. Personally I have little respect due to previous experience, and I have a friend that is highly disappointed with them right now for how they have delt with him (and he is purchasing a brand new boat).

They own a business and you are an "At Will" employee. They can fire you for no reason at all. When you own the joint that is what you get to do sometimes. Go find another job and let it go. Good grief, If i had to post up some nonsense about "poor Me" everytime I ever got fired I'd never have time to go to the lake.
On the brighter side- At least working for the cival service it will be near impossible to get fired. Maybe that is where you need to be.2000 SAN

Yep, employees can be let go for any reason (except discrimination) or no reason - not working enough hours or the right hours - cutting expenses (sometimes necessary to save the company and other jobs) - bad attitude - anything. Seriously. As an employee, I should be free to leave anytime I want, and I don't expect my employer to keep me around if he doesn't have to or want to. I've seen people let go just because of a bad attitude that spreads through the whole department. Not good. Not good for me if I've got to work around that, and certainly not good for the company. Let go because of a bad attitude? You bet, and thankfully so. I've also seen and benefitted from being let go for no reason. Other opportunities come, and every time i've been cut, I've found a better opportunity. Change can be very good for all parties. People need to pull their heads out of the ***, stop feeling sorry for themselves and work through the difficulties. Our firefigher friend will no doubt be happier in the long run. The rejection is just hard. And yes, I wanted to be a psych major but didnt'.
