Two people are talking on the phone long distance. One is in an east coast state in the US and the other is in a west coast state in the US. The first asks the other, "what time is it there?" He hears the answer and says "That's funny, it's the same time here!" Neither one of them is mistaken about the time. How is this possible?

One lives in Eastern Oregon which is on Mountain Time. One Lives in the Florida Panhandle which is Central Time. They are talking on the last day of daylight saving time when the central has swithched times (fallen back) , but the Mountain does not change time for an hour. (No, I didn't just think of this.
