If anyone is looking to stay at Big Bear lake, dont pick Golden Bear Resort. We had a horible time there.
Hmmm where to I start. We had a family reunion there the weekend after the 4th, and man what a mistake. We had to wait for them to get done cleaning the room. It was after the 3 pm check-in when we finally were able to get it. My girlfriends niece went in to the office to see if she could use the restroom (because we could check-in yet) to change into her bathing suit to use the pool and they told her to go find her family. I stayed At the Big cabin with my girlfriend and about 15 other people. There were other family members that stayed in about 5 other cabins. We went to barbecue on Friday night and there was no propane in the propane tank. We called the office to tell them about it and he said, We just filled it on the Monday and the last group must of left it on. I only fill it for a convince and I'm not going to fill it again. He then said you can go fill it yourself if you want. I couldn't believe this after paying over 900 a night for the Big Cabin. The carpets were dirty, the "Neat" pond was full of scum and actually drained on its own on Saturday. The Saturday night movie they advertise was never shown. The office was closed early on Saturday. There was not enough Charmin for the whole weekend. There were tons of weeds every where, the shower got cold after only a couple people had used it. I was not able to use the wireless internet, that's advertised on their website.
