Partial safety artical I came across

In a news release this summer, the folks from Boat U.S. cited some statistics that illustrate the safety of recreational boating. According to the latest available stats, more people died in bathtubs and swimming pools (847) than in recreational boats (676). Bottom line? Operating a boat is far safer than riding a bicycle, motorcycle or off-road vehicle. In fact, you have a much greater chance of perishing from a fall involving a bed, chair or furniture (838) or falling from down the stairs (1,588) than you do in falling from a boat.

Good job everyone..Be safe on the water the rest of the summer

Just don't let all of the tubers hear that. We need some stats about drivers not paying attention to other boats while pulling a tube and swerving wildly around the lake.....ok, I feel better now.
