This is a bit of a goofy question for you guys with little pieces of useless trivia in your memory banks. I have an old Nautique decal on my beer fridge at home that says 1993 World Championships - Singapore at the bottom. As my wife and I were walking around yesterday by the harbor, I recalled this decal. Any one have any idea where in Singapore this was held ? I am currently here for a week on business and for the life of me cannot figure out where the heck they would have or could have done this. There is a canal near a bar restaurant area that I guess they could have used. Just curious, not planning on riding here or anything, but thought some one would be able to dig the info up somewhere.

RE: 1993 World Championships
I haven't been in Singapore since 2000, but at that time they had a cable park. Might be fun to check
out if you have some time. BKH2001 Super Air

RE: 1993 World Championships
Unfortunately, I am about out of time, as I leave for Cambodia in the AM, I did drive by Kallang this morning on the way to a colleagues office and saw what must have been the site they used. Totally do-able, but the water ummm.... clarity is not quite what I am used to in Minnesota, that is fo sho. Gotta ride where you can I guess. Reminded me a lot the water in Brisbane where you cannot see all the sharks underneath you.the WakeSlayer

I skied there. The water was not very clear but it was not very bad. The name of the school that managed the site was CoWabunga Waterski, I think they are still there.
The boat of the pic is going through the course. You can see a bridge of the Singapore air train in the upper side of the pic. There is a station just there.

Wow. ok, Adrian, that is exactly the place I was talking about. PJDave, I was at Angkor Wat today at that exact spot your photo is from. That actually seems like a great place to ride. Not sure how you would launch.... have about 25 tuk tuks chained together.
I love that about what you don't see won't hurt you. that is what my Brissie friends tell me too. Frankly, the fact that there are thousands of sharks just under you is a bit unsettling when you are accustomed to a few panfish, and bass. You and I actually sort of met when i was there last year about this time. you were out in your new boat and I was speaking with you from shore. Bet you are glad your season is starting again. My mates there just bought a place on the river this past week. Maybe catch you there next winter (summer) when I visit. Now they need a Nautique to go with the new waterhome. WSP, I recall the name but not the spot. I am headed back to Singapore for a bit on the long way home this weekend. Perhaps I can go by that area.the WakeSlayer
