Avatars?

Is there some easier way to make an avatar, there so small on here, alot of sites I'm on I just select the image I want and bam, it's done.....

of course I don't know how hard that is to do.... I know nothing about pooters.

Most photo programs have a resize option. Just resize it to less than 80 pixels each way and Save As (don't want to shrink your original picture.)
