PN Site Running Slow ????

Is the site running slowly ??? ....or is it just me.

PN page loads are taking forever but visits to other sites are fine.

Yeah, I noticed that last night too. Seems to be cleared up this morning though.

Jeff - it is still slow for me tonight. Other pages load good and my download clocked at 3 meg.

Uploads even slower.

Yeah, I noticed that it slowed down again last night too. I will check with our hosting provider today.

Jeff- Still slow on my end. Is it just me? I don't see how. All the other sites I visit are fast.

I just checked speed through a 3rd party site...not my provider...and got 2.5 meg.

Site is still running slow for me. Ran slow at lunch today using wi-fi at Panera Bread....even though pictures weren't loading....still very long page loads.

I don't see how it could be my box....all other sites run FAST.

Comments from the gang?...do we need to take a poll?

That was a known issue yesterday. Anyone else seeing slow page load times? I haven't noticed anything over the past week or so, but if other people are, I'll take it up with our hosting provider.

okay - The problem is on my end...need help to fix.

1. Connected to my DSL through my wi-fi, I get 2.5 meg downloads but slow PN.com.

2. Today I snuck onto the neighbors open wi-fi (sssshhhhh....) and PN works fine.

I've cleared my cache, cookies, etc and re-booted my dsl and wi-fi....no luck. What next?

Jeff - This problem showed up the other day around the time of my first post. As of now

1. I still have problems loading when I'm connected to my DSL...even when bypassing the wi-fi.

2. I get fast page loads when I piggyback onto the neighbors wi-fi....ipconfig shows their provider is SBCGLOBAL.NET ....same as mine.

3. I get fast page loads at the bagel shop using their wi-fi.

I've rebooted the DSL modem, etc.

Does anybody have an idea why my DSL would chose to slow down only this site?

Jeff - Do you have a path to a large download file I can use as a benchmark...for troubleshooting?

Update....one night about two weeks ago I couldn't post, reply, etc. Everything was $%#$@'d. I could dig up the date if I had to.

The next morning was able to log in, post, etc...plus the speed issue was resolved. I'm not sure why...but now everything works fast.
