Long-time browser, first-time suggestion maker. Just recently an opportunity has come up to purchase a boat that is a few years old at a good price. Although I'm familiar in general with the specific model, i've never owned or experienced to any extent in the past the particular model . My first thought was this...wouldn't it be cool to log in to planetN and have a list of boat models, years, etc. and read all the reviews and comments and specs about that boat? I thought through the logistics a little bit and I realize that it would take a fair amount of work, but I think it would be a valuable resource to everyone that frequents this site. You could categorize the list by general boat (ski, wakeboard, crossover) and then by year, and then by specific model. The thing is, your source for all the material is right here on the site. I'm sure that nearly every model and year since the 90's is or has been owned by at least one PN member. If everyone were to add there comments, tid-bits, specs, etc on the models that they own or are familiar with, then a person could have a pretty comprehensive review of every boat model out there. Then, when a new boat comes on-line, you can perhaps add the tech specs and then the forum will add the rest. Just an idea...but I think it's a good one. Perhaps as one of the sub-links on the left..."Boat Models Reviews/Comments". You could also have a subcategory for the specific motors - GT40, Python, Excalibur, ZR's, etc. I really think this could be something.
