I have been having a hard time finding inboard specific information on the web, and would like to see articles and hints contained in place. This is my first year owning a nautique, and I have been looking for way to take care of it. information I have looked for but not been able to find includes, how to find an ower's manual, correct craft has not yet returned my inquiry into this one. suggested locations on the hull for a depth finder, reviews on depth finders, teak deck repair. Specific tips for winterizing an inboard engine. Where to find used parts and replacement parts over the net.
Your best place for online parts is skidim.com
Contact your local dealer and see if they can have a better time getting an owners manual for your boat. You can get a current owners manual from correct craft's website. It won't be exact to what your boat is but much of it is the same.
Loki,
Here is a little bit of info on the depth finders. Not much but better than none. Many people that I know have had better luck with the pickup unit being installed on the transom of the boat (doesn't look as good but functions better) versus the "puck" installed in the bilge. Those work well as long as they are stuck to the bilge but it is hard to keep them there. As far as the location for the depth finder in the hull, your best bet is to install the system and then take the boat out on the lake and move the "puck" around to various locations on the hull and see where it picks up best and then epoxy it there.
Hope that helps!!
Hey how about a "Did You Know" area, where you can place instructions on how to set your MPH gauge, or how to winterize an engine.... stuff like that
I like the "did you know" area and the ideas about the speedos and cruise, etc but I don't think we should put a how to on an actual winterization because of liability and taking away from the dealers. They need to stay in business. I know of many dealers that will take the time to show a customer how to winterize their boat if they so desire. I think that is the way to go so that they can see it first hand.
