Signature

Sorry for the Newbie Q.

When I'm responding to an already existing post:
I see in the 'Quick Reply' area that the 'Attach Signature' box is checked. But then I don't actually SEE my signature when the post is submitted.

Is it just not visible to me?

Also, when I am 'Posting a new topic', I don't see that same 'Attach Signature' box. Does that mean it's not attached?

Do you have a signature in your profile?

If I uncheck the box under quick reply, or post reply, this is the result. Unattaching the signature is very useful when posting multiple photos, or posts.

When you first log into the site you're given an opportunity to input data RE your Profile. I put my Signature info there. But apparently that data didn't make it to the page you show above in your image. When I click on Profile, at top - listed on every page, I see the page you show in your image. I added my signature there.

But my sig doesn't show in previous posts - like the one above. Other boards I'm on, once you change your sig it shows up on every post you've made, past and present.

When I click on profile at the top of the page, I can see my sig info there still. But again, it doesn't show in the old post above.

Ahhhh.... It must change the sig for new posts only.

Now to my avatar issues... Not sure why it won't take my jpg or gif image. They are both under the 80 size limit, and under the kb limit as well. I'll keep working on it. Thanks.

Fixed your avitar for you. Our site is a little bit confusing when it comes to your signature. You need to be sure to set your signature while in the FORUMS, not on the main home page. The profile you refer to is your PostNuke profile, which has nothing to do with the forums section of the site. I know that is pretty poorly set up, but hopefully with the new version of the forums software, that'll be addressed. Just be sure to set up your signature using the method that gotwake suggested, and you should be all set.
