There has been a PN app out there for the last year, but it has issues with pictures too. It was taken off of the App Store about a month ago due to the issue with pictures. I never promoted it because of this issue. A new version is coming very soon that I hope will address this issue.
When you're on Tapatalk, are you logged into PN or just viewing as a guest? Any pictures attached to posts here through PN's upload feature instead of attached via URL tags will not be visible to people who are not logged in. This is true on the website, on Tapatalk, or on any mobile apps that this site uses. This is by design, to attract people to actually register for an account on PN.

Yes I'm logged in. I saw somewhere that images wouldn't show as a guest so I make sure I'm logged in but no images still. Same result.

I have had this issue since joining PN. Thought it may have just been if the fie size was too large because some pics show up and others don't. This is the only forum using Tapatalk that I have this challenge in. Just glad to know its not just me.
OK, after further research, I found that many mobile apps (including Tapatalk) cannot process images that are part of photo albums.
Using the camera icon to attach photos to your posts here creates a photo album, and causes problems with the mobile apps. It has always been a better option to use the attachment feature (paperclip icon) anyway, since it allows you to attach many different file types, including images, and it doesn't create a photo album in the process.
For this reason, I have disabled the camera icon (as well as the unnecessary URL icon, which had its own set of issues). No functionality has been lost. Everyone here can still do the same things they could do before. I have just eliminated a couple of confusing icons that did not do what people thought they did.
Using the attachment icon (instead of the camera icon) will allow pictures to be viewed in mobile apps. I have tested and verified that this works as planned. The only pictures that will continue to cause issues on mobile apps are pictures people have added here previously using the (now removed) camera icon.
Remember, it is still important that you are actually logged into the site with your ID and password in order to view attachments, even on mobile apps. If you are not logged in, any attachments that have been uploaded to this site will not be available for viewing since we only allow members to view attachments.
