I wanted to create a little tutorial on posting pictures, since this can be a difficult thing for some users.
First, make sure the picture is in a format supported by PlanetNautique. Supported formats include .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .pdf, or .png.
.HEIC images are not supported. Please see the thread HEIC Images Not Supported on PlanetNautique for more information on .HEIC images and what to do if your phone stores images in this format.
Click the Upload Attachments button below the text of your post.
Select the image from your computer, and click Upload.
At this point, you'll see your images listed below the text of your post. Position your cursor at the place where you'd like to insert the image, and click one of the size options to insert your image into your post. Please do not use the Thumbnail size, as it is very small. I recommend always using the Fullsize option. The site will automatically size your image to the largest size that will fit within the frame of the post, which is normally the way you'd want an image to display. If you prefer a smaller size, just choose that option.
Once the image is inserted, it can be moved around using the same methods you'd use to move text. Position it where you want it, add any additional text that you want to, and click the blue Post button.
If after you post, you notice that your pictures are upside down or sideways, you should review the article Pictures Posting Upside Down? Here's Why. Feel free to edit your images, and then edit your post, replacing the upside down images with the corrected images.
