Be careful , i got scammed on here , received private message from ( waters_jim ) on here . He referred me to a guy that had carpet kit i was looking for , exchanged pics and numerous emails , agreed to price . Also went as far as agreeing to accept partial payment to ship and balance on delivery. Sent my money and then nothing . Been a month now since last communication and doesn't respond to emails. My fault i guess , but really was hoping the boating community didn't get corrupted with these people.

How many posts did either the guy that referred you to this guy or that guy have on here? First thing I consider is how long and how many post someone has before I'll send money to them. I want to see at least a year and 100+ post over that time frame.Comment

That's a shame. I have sent things to people multiple times without asking for payment until they are good with the item. Never had a issue.
This isn't Facebook Marketplace, I expect that there.Comment

I was messaged by the same guy saying he had a contact for a g23 Cover. Luckily the guy responded he didnt have it available. I also only use paypal for that reason alone. It sucks not being able to trust someone.
Can we get a moderator to delete fake members like this or is that not how things work?

If you know where the seller is located, you can always contact the local authorities and make a complaint / open a case. They will possible go contact the seller and help to make things right. I had to do that once with a hitch I bought in Nevada. They contacted him, and I got a refund immediatelyComment
