Stereo installation on 05 SAN 210

I just need to know a few things from you boat stereo gurus:

what do i hook my ground wire to? There seems to be no metal around.
should i use the existing speaker wire coming from my polk momos to connect to the amp or should i re-wire?
whats the best way to secure my speaker box housing a 12" sub? (to keep it from moving around)
where is the best place to mount my amp (where i can safely drill screw holes)?

Right now, i am leaning toward putting the sub and amp under the passenger/observer seat that flips up for storage.
Can ya give me some detailed feedback? Thx

also, if i have a 400 watts RMS 4 channel amp, shall i put 2 speakers per channel, or should each speaker have its own channel, which would force me to buy 2 amps? The speakers are the polk momos that came with the SAN

-You can just run the ground to the battery terminal (which then grounds to the engine). But if you're also installing an amp I would recommend getting a distribution block for both the positive and negative power cable. So then you can keep wiring to a minimum, and at the same time be preparred for future projects that you will need to tap into the power source.

-It won't hurt to replace the wire, the stuff they install at the factory is kinda crap in my opinion, but it will get the job done no problem (unless you're pushing quite a bit of power to each speaker).

-The easiest way is to just anchor it to the floor with an L bracket (two will work, but three is a good idea (one on each side, minus the front to make the install look cleaner).

-Usually people mount the amps on the gunnel wall behind the passenger seat. You are going to have to glue/epoxy wood ribs to the sidewall because the fiberglass cannot hold the weight of an amp). Do a search on here, there are plenty of diagrams and walkthroughs of others that have installed amps (wake_fun did a write-up on the exact subject).

What amp are you talking about, what's the model/brand of it?
