on clarion XMD3 when switching to auxillary, amps turn off

anyone know how to keep my amps on when i switch to auxillary from FM tuner? I have the blue wire from the deck hooked into 'remote' on the amps, but apparently there is another power wire responsible for keeping the amps on when switching to auxillary to run the ipod?

That sounds strange.. Only the "blue" wire is responsible for the remote of the amps on all modes of the radio.. So this sounds like a malfunction.

Sometimes a deck will have two blue "remote" lines. A solid blue one, which is the remote turn on for the FM antenna and another blue one with a white line (I think?) that is the remote turn on for the amp. It sounds like you have it hooked into the remote turn on wire for the FM antenna.

yes, the blue with the white stripe and the blue both need to be hooked into remote to keep the amps on in all modes. Thx!
