Best cost effective way to run (4) 6.5" speakers &

I currently have four interior 6.5" speakers (50w RMS) and one 12" sub (75-400w RMS, 4 ohm) in my boat. I currently have one 2-channel amp that is bridged powering the sub only and the speakers are running off the head unit. What would be the most cost effective way to get everything hooked up to an amp?

I have been looking at www.onlinecarstereo.com as they seem to have good prices and others have had good luck with them. Should I go with a 4-channel amp and bridge it to run the sub? What amp would you guys recommend? I am not looking to install a pro system here, just something that will sound decent and be reliable. Thanks in advance for any help.

Depending on what size power cable you already have connected to the 2 channel you might be able to just go with a standard 5-channel amp (so all you'd be buying is a new amp, not not having to buy new cable). However, if you have too small of a rating on the original power your best bet might be to just buy a cheap mono amp for the sub and buy more wire.

Right now I have 4 guage wire running for the power and ground from the battery to distribution blocks. I think I then have 8 or 10 guage running from the distribution blocks to the amp, so the wire is plenty big. I set up the distribution blocks originally so I could add another amp if I ever wanted to.

just be careful when buying audio online. everybody does it, but a lot of these companies are selling products they are legally not licensed to sell. for instance, the only online company authorized to sell infinity is crutchfield. if you buy it from anywhere else, it will not carry a warranty and if you have a problem, send your product in, infinity will destroy it. they track everything through serial numbers and what not. you can save some money going with other online companies, but you may end up paying twice as much when its all said and done. just keep that in mind. to me, paying the extra 10% or so is worth the piece of mind to know my 3 year warranty is legit. that being said, crutchfield has alpine amps on sale right now. the have a 50x4 for $150. that would run the speakers just fine.
